- The bats were busy at Seymour Smith on Thursday, and when the dust cleared Omaha Black Sox had a 9-8 win over the Sioux Falls Pilots.
- The teams combined for 20 hits, including four extra base hits.
- Omaha Black Sox would not relinquish the lead as the Sioux Falls Pilots were unable to weather a nine-run sixth inning deficit.
- The Sioux Falls Pilots scored on a sacrifice fly by Jacob James in the seventh inning, a three-run home run by Nick Ratzloff, an RBI single by Tyler Deckwa, and an RBI single by Ben Reznicek in the eighth inning, and a single by Ratzloff and an RBI single by Lucas Wylie in the ninth inning. Unfortunately, the Sioux Falls Pilots weren't able to take the lead back.
- James Babic got on base three times in the game for Omaha Black Sox. He tripled in the second inning.
- Wyatt Schulz got the win for Omaha Black Sox. He tossed five innings of shutout ball. He struck out five, walked none and surrendered five hits.
