The Bethesda Big Train (23-10) and the Baltimore Redbirds (23-8) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Bethesda Big Train that eventually took advantage of them in a 5-1 win at Shirley Povich Field.

Sean Labsan paced the Bethesda Big Train at the plate. Labsan went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second inning.

Johnny York pitched lights out for the Bethesda Big Train. York gave up just four hits, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his five innings of work.

Connor Klemann had two extra-base hits for the Baltimore Redbirds. He homered in the first inning, doubled in the third inning, and singled in the sixth inning.

Cole Aker (3-1) took the loss for the Baltimore Redbirds. He lasted just seven innings, walked six, struck out eight, and allowed five runs.
