The Southern Oregon Spartans of the Western States Hockey League (WSHL) are pleased to announce the signing of forward Jack Flynn. Born in Camberly, GBR now living in Johannesburg South Africa, Flynn comes to the Spartans after playing last season for the Bradford Bulls in Ontario, Canada. At 6’3” 210 lb Jack brings a physical presence to the Spartans as a power forward that plays a physical style of hockey with strong board and corner presence as well as an ability to go to the opposition net. Flynn, who was brought forward to the Spartans by the Niagara Red Cats, played in Germany with the Cologne Sharks, in Johannesburg South Africa for the Pretoria Capitals and the Coventry Blaze of the NIHL in Great Britain before the Bradford Bulls. Jack and returning Spartan Charlie Wood give the Spartans team a legitimate one two punch in the physical presence department. Flynn is the first of many future Spartans that will benefit from the recent affiliation between the Spartans and the Niagara Red Cats of the NCPHL. Jack will pursue college hockey opportunities following his junior career to continue his development as a player with long term hopes of returning to Europe to pursue professional hockey. Spartan Proud!
