Football New Brunswick Selects its U15 and U17 Provincial Teams

Football New Brunswick (FNB) is pleased to announce its U15 and U17 Provincial Team rosters. Both teams will play home and home games against the Nova Scotia U15 and U17 Teams as part of the Maritime Football Series.

 

Jaret Phillips is now entering his second year as the U15 Head Coach and has a better idea of what to expect and believes he has the best 40 U15 players “the selection process was extremely difficult. Tryouts were very competitive as the talent level in all positions were deep this year. As a staff I believe collectively we’ve worked together and have selected the top U15 players in New Brunswick”

 

Third year U17 Head Coach Vince Sturgeon was also pleased with the skill level at the tryouts, “the selection process was extremely competitive and a credit to the efforts and determination of the over 90 athletes that were part of the tryout experience.  The number and quality of athletes participating is another example of how football in New Brunswick continues to grow.  While it was very difficult to pick only 40 players, the coaching staff is very excited about the opportunity to continue to work with our final roster to challenge them to keep improving as players.“

 

Both the U15 and U17 teams will look to build on there results last year where each team went 1-1.

 

The U17 team will play a third game when they host a Rimouski all star team. This will be the second year that the U17 provincial team will play against Rimouski. Complete Maritime Football Series Schedule can be found below the rosters.
