OTTAWA had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over KINGSTON.

OTTAWA was led by Chantal Gudbranson, who grabbed one goal. Gudbranson scored 9:12 into the first period to make the score 2-0 OTTAWA. Maggie Knott (A) assisted on the tally.

OTTAWA managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. OTTAWA wound up below its season average of 3.0 penalty minutes per game. OTTAWA kept KINGSTON's goalie busy throughout the game, and Whitney Morton made 48 saves on 53 shots. OTTAWA bested its season scoring average. This season, OTTAWA averages 2.5 goals per contest.

OTTAWA also got points from Knott (A), who also racked up one goal and one assist and Tasza Tarnowski (C), who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. OTTAWA also had goals scored by Sophie Veronneau (A) and Shana Alexander, who scored one goal each. In addition, OTTAWA received assists from Coralie Larose, who had one.

KINGSTON's defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. KINGSTON averages 1.8 goal allowed per game.

OTTAWA took out Jennifer Walker after she had made six saves and installed Kailen Jeffries in goal, where she finished with 11 saves and the win. OTTAWA registered two goals on five power play opportunities. KINGSTON incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
