Get to know your Dashers with Chris Affinati

Date:  Source: FHL Danville

Danville, IL - While the Danville Dashers are on the road, Dashers forward Chris Affinati took some time to answer questions that were sent in from the Dashers Nation.

From Joe: My question to you is, What do you think that this
team is missing to be about to win more games.

Answer: The biggest thing where were missing was experience. In the FHL there is no veteran rule, so teams signed a lot of older guys and guys with high level of experience. We had some good young talent, but just couldn't compete. Are new coach Matt Mcilvane has done a great job of bringing in some very talented and experienced players. He has also implemented some great systems for us, and brought us together as a team on the ice. Now all we have to do is out work the other teams, and your going to see us be a very dangerous team!!!

From Paula: I heard you've had some MMA fights, is this true?
Have you ever been reluctant to fight due to your size?
Just wanted to say that from what I've seen so far, YOU are the best
fighter on the team!

Answer: First I want to say thank you, I appreciate your compliment. Yes, I have had some MMA fights. I fight for Dan Severn's Danger Zone. I am currently 1 -0, my win was by TKO in the 2nd round. I will be fighting again this summer for Danger Zone and maybe a couple other organizations. I have never been reluctant to fight due to my size, I actually us my size to my advantage. I will take on all comers, no matter how big or tough they are. Anything to protect my teammates, and entertain the fans.

From Mike: What is your pre game routine?

Answer:  My pre game routine starts off with a little warm up: jog, side shuffles, jump rope, then I stretch out. Then I take a hot shower, put on my gear and I am ready to go!!!

From Kelly: What made you decided to play in Danville?

Answer: I was originally supposed to go to Europe again this year, some things fell through. So I got a call from my good buddy, player asst. coach Joe Pace, asked if i would like to come down, came down down, and been here ever since. And I am having a great time in Danville, the people I met have been great, and are team is a great group of guys!!!

From Kevin: Favorite FHL team to play against and why?

Answer:  I think my favorite team to play against is Danbury. Its always a rough tough game against them, and I love playing in those kinda games.
