Notre Dame of Batavia defeats Geneseo/Livonia/Avon 2-0 in the 2016 Class B Section V Hockey Championship game.  During the season Geneseo/Livonia/Avon had their number, but not this game.  It was a hard fought game by both teams, H. Toivainen scored the game winning goal in the first period at 8:28.  The 2nd goal was by B. Moscicki on an empty net as Geneseo/Livonia/Avon pulled their goalie hoping to tie the game.  The MVP of the game was given to H. Toivainen.

Notre Dame of Batavia will play Victor on Wednesday, March 2nd.  The winner of that game will get to stay home and face Section 3 Skaneateles in the State Regionals.  The loser of that contest will have to travel to Section 1 and play Pelham.
