Victor defeats Ithaca 3-2 in the Division I State Regionals at Cornell University Lynah Rink.  The Final Four for Division I states begins Saturday, March 10th at 9:30AM North Rockland (Section 1) vs. Niagara-Wheatfield (Section 6) and then our very own Victor (Section 5) vs. Massena (Section 10) at 11:45AM.  All games will be played at the Harbor Center as Buffalo once again hosts the State Semifinals and Finals for Division I and II hockey.  

    Massena played in regular season Fairport (Lost 4-1), Ithaca (Lost 4-2), Salmon River (Won 3-1), and McQuaid (Lost 2-1).  On common opponents Victor has played McQuaid (Won 5-0), Ithaca (Won 6-1, Won 3-2), Fairport (Tied 1-1), and Salmon River (Won 5-1).  On January 20th, 2018 Victor played Massena and the game resulted in a 1-1 tie.  All I know is that if you can make the game at Harbor Center it will be a great contest. 

     Victor has been strong all year long and as long as they play a hard disciplined game under the leadership of head coach Mike Ferreri hopefully will result in a ticket to the finals!  It would be great to see head coach Mike Ferreri the chance to punch that ticket as he deserves it for all of the extra hours he puts into representing all our head coaches on the executive committee as the coaches' liaison.  I hope everyone that is able to can drive down the 90 to help cheer loud and proud for Victor!  Let's go Section V!
