The Brantford 99ers' Jonathan Pace scored 2:52 into overtime to beat the Cambridge Winter Hawks, 5-4 (OT).

Brantford came back from a three-goal deficit to capture the victory. The 99ers was down 4-1 after a goal by Cambridge's Kyle Heitzner at 13:16 in the second period. Brantford knotted things up at 4-4 on a goal by Guy Polillo at 17:30 in the third period.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 15:29 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts.

The 99ers forced their penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up seven minors and three majors for 29 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 19.0 minutes per game Brantford had been spending in the box. The Winter Hawks were unable to stop the 99ers from sending pucks towards the net, and Brantford eventually piled up 53 shots on goal. The 99ers bested their season scoring average.
