HORNETS WIN SILVER MEDAL

The Goulbourn Midget Boys Basketball team won silver at annual Chris Paulin Tournament on Sunday, December 6, 2015 in Stittsville.

The Hornets were 4-0 going into the gold medal game. vs Ottawa Next Level (ONL). Their journey to the gold medal game was exciting and challenging. The Hornets won by scores of 48-38, 68-37, 78-73 and 55-40. Their last round-robin game versus Ottawa South was a marathon battle which required a double-overtime.  The win propelled them to finish first in their pool.

The gold medal game found the Hornets against a very strong ONL team led by Coach DeAveiro (Head Coach of McGill University Men's Basketball Team).  After a hard fought game, sadly the Hornets dropped their first game of the tournament to ONL.

the Hornets currently have an overall record of 11-2. They travel to Markham Ontario for the MUMBA tournament in late January 2016.
