The wait is over: New D2 Elite Dressing Room Completed

Informed at season's end that they had lost their premanent dressing room to the NCAA renovations at Oceanside Arena, Assistant Coach Ed Lisogar was, to put it mildly, not a happy camper...and it soon became apparent that the word "no" wasn't in his vocabulary. Faced with zero funding for an anticipated $100,000 project cost, what followed was an incredible 11 month journey of (as he put it) "shaking hands and kissing babies". Coach was successful in securing the bulk of the capital, materials and labor required through private and corporate donations. He also designed, developed and coordinated all facets of the innovative modular facility, from conception to completion.

It was a long time coming but the new D2 Elite facility is now a reality. ASU D2 Elite moved into their new, state of the art home in mid November 2015.

Located on the northwest corner of the arena, the custom built private dressing room is air conditioned and heated and comes complete with thirty custom stalls, dedicated shower and bathroom facilities, private coaches offices, flat screen T.V's, equipment storage and has it's own private entrance. Even the ASU Art Department got into the act ("Thanks Tara & Hugo!") providing hand painted custom artwork throughout.

According to Coach Lisogar;  "At this level it is imperative not only for our players, but for the future of the program that we have a first class dressing room that our student athletes can be proud of and truly call their own. In my opinion, not only is our new home an innovative solution, both creatively and financially, but it is superior to anything you'll presently find at any level of the ACHA. It's also one helluva recruiting tool".

Great job Coach!
