Central Catholic beats Upper St. Clair 6-1 as Kingerski gets hat trick

Ryan Kingerski netted a hat trick to lead Central Catholic over Upper St. Clair, 6-1.

Kingerski's first goal came 5:40 into the first period. He then added goals at 5:32 into the second and at 6:50 into the third.

Upper St. Clair was stymied by Central Catholic's netminder Nathaniel Cava, who stopped 30 shots during the victory. Cava managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 4.71 prior to the game.

Central Catholic forced Upper St. Clair's goaltenders to work in net, ripping 41 shots and forcing 35 saves. Adam Seeton made 29 stops and Jonathan Bleier made six.

Central Catholic additionally got points from Mac Martin, who also registered one goal and one assist. Central Catholic also had goals scored by Jake Tepe and Jacob Kingerski, who each put in one. In addition, Central Catholic received assists from Ethan Farber and Easton Alger, who contributed one each and Antonio Misiti and Sam Delucia, who each chipped in two.

Upper St. Clair's offense rang up 31 shots on Central Catholic's net.

Upper St. Clair was led by Matthew Finn, who scored the team's only goal. Finn scored on the power play 35 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-1. Jake Price picked up the assist.

Central Catholic incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Upper St. Clair incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
