Griffin Nelson lifted Mt. Lebanon to a 6-1 victory with a hat trick against Chartiers Valley.

Nelson notched his first tally 12:18 into the first period. He then added goals at 4:03 into the second and at 1:29 into the third.

Mt. Lebanon forced Chartiers Valley's goalies to work between the pipes, finishing with 43 shots and forcing 37 saves. Brandon Edwards made 34 stops and Jaris Harbieh made three. Mt. Lebanon managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Mt. Lebanon finished below its season average of 9.0 penalty minutes per game. Mt. Lebanon outdid its season average for goals scored. Mt. Lebanon averages 2.4 goals per game.

Mt. Lebanon also got points from Benjamin McGraw, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Mt. Lebanon also had goals scored by Matthew Vines and Wyatt George, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Mt. Lebanon were Zach Rudoy, who had one, Max Manzo, who had two, and Ryan Gist, who had three.

Chartiers Valley managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Chartiers Valley ended up below its season average of 7.0 penalty minutes per game. Chartiers Valley's offense was handcuffed by Mt.
