Blackhawk falls to OLSH after surprising comeback

OLSH climbed out of a two-goal hole to beat Blackhawk, 4-3.

OLSH let multiple leads slip away before eventually digging out of a two hole to pick up the win. OLSH took a 3-2 advantage on a goal by Devyn Wosotowsky at 15:51 in the third period. OLSH found itself down 2-0 after Blackhawk's Robert Piccerillo put the puck home at 7:08 in the first period. After tying things up at 3-3 on a goal by Alexander Lundy at 16:24 in the third, OLSH got the game-winner from Wosotowsky at 16:54 in the third period.

Wosotowsky was all over the ice for OLSH, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win.

OLSH managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. OLSH ended up below its season average of 13.0 penalty minutes per game. OLSH forced Blackhawk goalie Cory Steinle to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots.

OLSH also had goals scored by Gage Tisch and Tyler Cerankowski, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for OLSH were Johnathan Kim, Joe Line, Mark Zukowski, Mark Richardson, and Ethan Sunder, who each chipped in one.

Blackhawk put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow OLSH to score on any of its three power plays.

In addition, Blackhawk received assists from James Kelly-Tindall, who had one and Robert Swinderman, who had three.

OLSH's Jesse Broniszewski stopped 18 shots out of the 21 that he faced. Steinle rejected 29 shots on goal for Blackhawk. Blackhawk incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
