Championship Sunday is Set!
Date: Aug 23, 2019
On Aug. 24, the 2015 Spring/Summer season came to an end as the Bronx Titans and the Bronx Orioles captured titles in their respective divisions at Roberto Clemente State Park.
Taking on the Gotham City Bats, The Titans were able to win their second Single-A championship (their first coming in 2012), thanks to a solid pitching performance from Pete Santiago and some timely hitting from JR Hill. The Titans trailed 2-1 heading into the bottom of the fifth inning but roared back to take the lead and held on late.
The Orioles' first-ever Double-A title comes in just the team's second year of exsitence, as the O's bested the Mud Hens in the nightcap. Mason Colon broke open a scoreless game with a fifth-inning grand slam. It would prove to be all the Orioles would need, as they went on to win 7-2.
Congratulations to our 2015 Summer Champions and thanks for everyone who came out to play this year!
