Outlaws Dominant In Win

The Chico Outlaws were dominant Wednesday night at Nettleton stadium, defeating the Yuma Scorpions in convincing fashion 10-5. David Roberts (2-8) recorded the win, allowing zero runs through five innings before eventually giving up two runs in the sixth and three in the seventh.
 
The Outlaws scored four runs in the first inning which was highlighted by a Jake Rife three run homer. They continued to pile on the runs in the bottom half of the second inning beginning with a Matt Hibbert bunt single. Hibbert then advanced to third on a wild throw to first base from Yuma pitcher Ryan Carr (0-2). New Outlaw Ernie Munoz then recorded an RBI single to give the Outlaws a five run advantage. Bobby Hill then hit a frozen rope off the top of the wall in center field that scored Munoz. Jake Rife added an RBI single to  to make the game seven to zero.
 
The Outlaws were able to tack on three more runs before the game was over to improve their record to 39-45 with four games remaining in the season.
