FHL Alumni Update: Justin MacDonald

SYRACUSE, NY. - The Federal Hockey League (FHL) is recognizing former Watertown Wolves forward Justin MacDonald as their alumni of the month in March. Each month during the season, the league will select a player based on their contributions on the ice at the next level.

MacDonald, who is in his first season in the ECHL and Evansville, has scored points in five of his team's twelve games during March.
Through 17 games this season, MacDonald has 6 goals and 4 assists. Justin has recorded two multiple point games, including two goals in a 4-2 loss versus Cincinnati on February 28 and two assists in a 5-4 loss to Kalamazoo on March 4.

While with the Watertown Wolves for 46 games this season, MacDonald was the team's scoring leaders with 44 goals and 58 assists and was named the FHL Regular Season MVP and awarded top forward.

The Newmarket, Ontario native spent last season with the Mississippi Surge of the Southern Professional Hockey League. Prior to joining the Surge, Justin captured the SPHL’s President’s Cup with the Pensacola Ice Flyers in his second professional season.

The Class-A Level professional Federal Hockey League will be entering their 6th season of operation in 2015 and has teams located in Danbury (CT), Berkshire (MA), Watertown (NY), Steel City (PA), Dayton (OH), Danville (IL) and Port Huron, (MI).
