Northern Cyclones to Play For National Championship Today
Date: Mar 29, 2015
BOSTON, Mass. -- The New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs have a knack of finding a stellar goaltender each year, and Simon Leiva definitely fits that mold in 2014-15. The 1995 birth year netminder from Quebec burst on the EHL scene this season and his steady play allowed the Monarchs to capture the North Division crown while compiling a stingy, league-leading 1.64 goals against average. His play has continued in the post-season with a 1.31 GAA through three playoff games.
He finished the regular season with a 15-2 record and three shutouts.
