The Midwest Junior Hockey League today announced its players of the week for the week ending Sunday, March 1.

The awards are voted on by league coaches, general managers and league staff.

Rookie of the Week – Cody Call, Soo Firehawks

One of the youngest players in the league, the 1998-born native of 150 Mile House, B.C., played just one game last weekend, but stopped 50 of 51 shots Friday night as the Firehawks defeated the Decatur Blaze 3-1.

Call also won Rookie of the Week honors on Nov. 25.

For the year, Call is 4-5-0-0 with a 4.90 GAA and a .887 save percentage.
