TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. - The first-place Traverse City Hounds sweep the weekend series from the Detroit Fighting Irish with a 3-1 win Sunday afternoon at Centre ICE.

Cam Fisher and Cam Givens each had a goal and an assist and Austin Flores netted the other goal for Traverse City (38-3-1-2).

"It was another great game today," said Hounds' head coach Jacek Wilk. "We passed the puck well, but just couldn't score. Detroit had a few good chances, but Justin (Abdelhak) was able to stop them."

Abdelhak (pictured) finished with 34 saves for the Hounds.

"It was a great team effort," Abdelhak said. "It's always great to end the weekend with a win."

"Nice to get the 'W' today," Flores added. "Our goalies had a very good weekend."

Ken Winter scored the lone Detroit goal and Kory Dombrowski compiled 43 saves in goal.

The Hounds, by virtue of finishing first overall, earn a first-round bye for the playoffs. They play Alpena next weekend in a home-and-home series that starts Friday at Centre ICE and wraps Sunday at the Northern Lights Arena.

Detroit finishes fourth at 27-15-2-2 and will either play Alpena or the Soo at the Brownstown Sports Center to open the playoffs.
