Tails of Courage - this Friday

Tails of Courage is a Christian based national non-profit organization committed to helping our communities. Founded in 2009, by a survivor of the World Trade Center attacks in New York City on September 11th, 2001, in an effort to honor the heroes lost in the tragedy, it is committed to rescuing homeless animals, helping our communities, and making the world a better place. It began simply as an animal rescue organization—a single dog in a single foster home. Over the years, the organization has expanded to a national level with several thousand animals—dogs and cats—having already been rescued. At present, Tails of Courage has chapters in Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

Money raised from this event supports renovations at our recently purchased property in Danbury, CT where we run a no-kill shelter. We work with shelters in several states—including Connecticut—to rescue adoptable animals that would otherwise be euthanized, and bring them to our shelter in Danbury. The animals are given routine vaccinations and flea and tick preventative, and are sprayed or neutered if necessary. Then they are adopted out to their forever homes!”
