Hounds sign young blueliner Kiel

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. - The Decatur Blaze topped the Traverse City Hounds 6-5 in an eight-round shootout Saturday night at Centre ICE.
Traverse City had a 5-1 lead midway through the second period, but the Blaze rallied with four straight power-play goals over the final period and a half.
Garret Maged’s goal in the eighth round won it for Decatur.
Micah Young and Duncan Irvine both scored two goals in regulation, with Ryan Redpath adding the other.
John Urmetz had three assists and Dylan Farmer and Maged each posted two helpers.
Blaze goalie Matt Hatcher turned aside 32 shots.
Cam Fisher recorded a hat trick for the Hounds, Patrick Rogowski (pictured) registered a goal and an assist and Greg Meuser tacked on the other goal.
Cam Givens contributed a pair of assists and Justin Abdelhak made 37 saves between the pipes.
The two teams wrap up their weekend series Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
