Wildcats end losing streak with thrilling walkoff win over...
Date: Apr 25, 2015
With Opening Day still over six weeks away, the Wildcats may have found their ace for not only the 2015 season, but for the future as well. Cameron Bartsch, a sophomore that worked out as a catcher, showed signs of being a frontline starter in the CHL. With command of multiple pitches and solid mechanics, the younger Bartsch brother displayed potential to be a formidable force this year. However, there were also other members of the program that flashed signs of being reliable arms for the 2015 season. Jordan Girdler, who has impressed with his bat, also opened the eyes of the coaching staff with his arm. Girdler could be a potential closer but will be used in multiple roles on the mound. Michael and Ryan Whitt also showed they could be relied on for some quality innings while Austin Cahill continued his development this offseason, displaying good control and a quality curveball. Graham Bartsch, the older brother of Cameron, could also be counted on to pitch for the Wildcats. As the offseason workouts continue, the Wildcats look for more members to step up into new roles and take control of a program searching for a CHL Championship.
