TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. - Scott Luca’s power-play goal 2:36 into overtime completed Traverse City’s rally as the Hounds beat the Soo Firehawks 4-3 at Centre ICE in the first half of a home-and-home series.

Greg Meuser scored at 12:37 of the third period to tie the game at 3-3.

Travis Kirk and Cam Givens also scored for the Hounds and goaltender David Krejcik finished with 47 saves.

For the Firehawks, Zach Eitrem (pictured) scored two goals in the first period and Mario Taranto added a goal and an assist.

Soo goalie Nic Berlingieri finished with 34 saves.

The two teams meet again Saturday night for a 7 p.m. start at the Big Bear Arena.
