Mike Henderson Returns To Danbury

Date:  Source: FHL Danbury Whalers

Another familiar face from last season's Whalers squad is returning to the lineup, starting this weekend against Berkshire. Mike Henderson played 18 games last season with the Whalers, and made quite an impact in those 18 games, with 11 goals and 19 points. Mike hopes to provide a similar impact upon his return, to help turn the Whalers slump around.

After his time last season with the Whalers, he finished out the season with the Bloomington Thunder of the SPHL, where he scored 6 goals and 7 points in 11 games. This season, he continued to play in the SPHL, for two different teams. He started the season in Huntsville, playing another 11 games, scoring 4 goals and 5 points, before heading to Knoxville to play for the Ice Bears. This would be his longest pro stint with any team yet, playing 23 games and scoring 4 goals and 6 points. That brings us to the present, as Henderson is back in Danbury and ready to spark more offensive production, starting on Friday when he is expected to make his season debut at Berkshire.
