Grimsby boosted by Currie's play in net, beats Dundas 4-1

The Glanbrook Rangers tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the Grimsby Peach Kings held on for a 6-5 victory.
A goal by Michael Konkle put Grimsby up 5-3 in the second period, but Glanbrook pulled to within one on Brad Parish's tally 1:06 into the third period.
Konkle was all over the ice for the Peach Kings, as he had two goals in the win.
Grimsby forced Rangers' netminders to work all game long, finishing with 33 shots and forcing 27 saves. Jay Payton made 15 stops and Matthew Venturelli made 12. The Peach Kings surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Grimsby has scored at the pace of 3.7 goals per game during the current campaign. The Peach Kings' defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. Grimsby is averaging 2.4 goals against for the season.
Grimsby also had goals scored by Eric Cerino, Andrew McMurtrie, Garnet McComber, and Brennan Smith, who each put in one. In addition, Grimsby received assists from Jeromy Hopkins, who had two and Trevor McEneny, Steven Polich, Matthew Jambrosich, Curtis Conrad, Griffin Roubos, and Curtis Jacques, who contributed one each.
The Rangers were helped by Spencer Leenders, who tallied one goal and one assist. Leenders scored 13:49 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Glanbrook. Josh Pace picked up the assist. Glanbrook also got points from Pace, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Glanbrook included Kyle Dumais and Malcom Toman, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Glanbrook were Curtis Edwards, who had two and Jeff May and Cameron Frail, who each chipped in one.
The Peach Kings' Jeremy Currie stopped 16 shots out of the 21 that he faced. Grimsby incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Glanbrook incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For the Rangers, Toman was ejected from the game.
