Godin named MWJHL Rookie of Week

The Midwest Junior Hockey League today announced its players of the week for the week ending Sunday, Feb. 1.

The awards are voted on by league coaches, general managers and league staff.

 

Rookie of the Week – Spencer Godin, Michigan Ice Dogs

Godin provided a spark of offense for the Ice Dogs last weekend, netting five goals in Traverse City.

The 1995 birthdate out of Plymouth, Mich., scored one goal each Friday night and Saturday afternoon before posting a hat trick Sunday afternoon.

For the year, Godin is third in Ice Dogs’ scoring with 13 goals and 19 points in 30 games. He also has seven goals in his past five contests.
