Brewers Denied Another Home Game

Date:  Source: Maple City Brewers

There was a lot of grumbling around the ballpark Sunday afternoon, as the Brewers staged an impromptu practice, after yet another home game being cancelled. The Courtright Cardinals called general manager Sandra Shaw earlier that morning and said that due to a lack of players, they would be unable to field a team. Courtright had already asked two days prior to reduce the doubleheader to just one game for the same reason..

This late notice about a lack of players begs the question as to whether this wasn't retaliation for supposedly "running up the score" on the Cardinals last Tuesday in a 12-0 win.

As for the Brewers; they know embark on a 9 day, 6 game, 5 city road trip starting in Sarnia on Tuesday and finishing in Woodslee the following Wednesday. The Brewers next home game is Friday, June 17th against the Windsor Titans; 7 pm first pitch at Fergie Jenkins Field.
