Hounds sign young blueliner Kiel

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - The first-place Traverse City Hounds gained a series split with the Soo Firehawks in a 4-2 win Saturday night at the Big Bear Arena.
The Firehawks led 1-0 after 20 minutes on a Zach Eitrem goal, but the Hounds scored four in the second period.
Kevin Cole and Clayton Dowlan each had a goal and an assist for Traverse City and Kyle Winkelman and Austin Flores notched one goal apiece. Cam Fisher chipped in a pair of assists.
Traverse City netminder David Krejcik made 31 saves for his MWJHL-best 15th win of the season.
Eitrem had a goal and a helper for the Soo, while Daniel Bachynsky (pictured) also scored and Mario Taranto picked up two assists.
Mackenzie Bruce turned aside 33 shots in the Firehawks’ crease.
The Soo hosts Alpena next Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
