ALPENA, Mich. - Three players scored two goals apiece and Hunter Myers pitched a 25-save shutout as the Alpena Flyers blanked the Soo Firehawks 9-0 Sunday afternoon at the Northern Lights Arena.
Brandon Bihn scored twice with two assists and Jared Kwiatkowski and Brett Heise added a pair.
Shane Dawson had a goal and two assists and Tait Froggett contributed a goal and a helper for the Flyers.
Kyle Stevens scored one goal and Garret Bailey picked up two assists.
For the Firehawks, Nic Berlingieri and Cody Call combined to make 29 saves in goal.
Alpena next plays Saturday night on the road against the Michigan Ice Dogs, while the Firehawks host the Traverse City Hounds next Friday night.
