Jonak, Monarchs top Ice Dogs Saturday

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - MWJHL scoring leader Adam Jonak tallied three goals and two assists to lift the MC Monarchs to a 7-2 win over the Michigan Ice Dogs Saturday night at the Farmington Hills Ice Arena.

Jonak now has 33 goals and 45 assists for 78 points in 25 games.

Anthony Wojciechowski added a goal and two assist for MC, while Colton James, Alex Anderson and Jarrad Vroman posted single goals.

Tory Shand and Bryce Peplinski chipped in two assists apiece and Tyler Skulley and Marquise Almeida combined to make 27 saves in goal.

For the Ice Dogs, Marc Rotondo and Brent Young (pictured) scored and goaltender Chris Boyd finished with 31 saves.

The two teams play again next Wednesday, Dec. 10, at Fraser Hockeyland. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
