Hounds sign young blueliner Kiel

The Midwest Junior Hockey League today announced its players of the month for the month of November.
The awards are voted on by league coaches, general managers and league staff.
Goaltender of the Month – Chris Boyd, Michigan Ice Dogs
A two-time Goaltender of the Week for his play in November, the 1994-born Boyd went 2-2-0-1 last month.
In two games, the Chelsea, Mich., native faced more than 40 shots and in another, faced 53 shots. Boyd’s two wins came Nov. 1 against the Decatur Blaze and Nov. 14 versus the Alpena Flyers, where he came in and relieved Jacob Dugan midway through the game.
For the year, Boyd is 4-5-0-3 with a 3.52 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage – both stats are third among league goalies.
