Wolves add two forwards for Inaugural Season

WATERTOWN, NY - The Watertown Wolves are pleased to announce that Justin Alonzo and Phil Bronner have signed agreements for the 2014-15 Federal Hockey League season.

Alonzo, the 25 year old San Jose, California native joins the Watertown Wolves after spending the 2013-14 season in the Southern Professional Hockey League with the Pensacola Ice Flyers, Peoria Rivermen, and Huntsville Havoc. During his time in the SPHL, the 5'10” 194 pound forward registered 7 goals and 19 assists.  Prior to that, he completed a distinguished college career at Castleton (Vermont) State College (NCAA Division III) scoring 34 goals and 82 assists in 97 games.

“Justin is a gritty two way player who makes players around him better with his high energy style of play and play making ability,” says head coach Brent Clarke. “He will be a great player for the fans of Watertown to keep an eye on this season.”

Bronner is a 6' 2” 205 pound right winger who played his college career at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, notching 27 goals in 58 games over 4 seasons.  During the 2013-14 Southern Professional Hockey League season he played for both the Knoxville Ice Bears and Mississippi RiverKings tallying 10 goals and 15 assists.  Bronner also suited up for the Greenville Road Warriors in the ECHL in 2013-14.

Head coach Brent Clarke states, “Phil is a highly skilled forward with great size and vision of the ice.  We look forward to having him out there on the power play this season.”

Opening night is October 17th versus the Danbury Whalers at Watertown Fairgrounds Arena, with puck drop at 7:35pm.
