Dayton, Ohio – The Dayton Demonz continue to prepare to defend last season’s Federal Hockey League Commissioner’s Cup Championship today proudly announcing the return of Forward Robert Vanwynsberghe for the 2014-2015 season.
Vanwynsberghe started the 2013-2014 season playing in 11 games with the Danville Dashers scoring 4 goals and 2 assists before being traded to the Demonz. He appeared in 17 games with the Demonz tallying 17 goals and 19 assists. Head Coach Trevor Karasiewicz was very excited to announce Vanwynsberghe’s return to the Demonz, “Vanny had an immediate impact when he arrived to our line-up. He is going to be a huge part of the team this season.” Karasiewicz added, “no one in the league works as hard as him, he is a proven goal scorer and his stats show it.”
Vanwynsberghe ended the 2013-2014 season with the Peoria Rivermen of the Southern Professional Hockey League, appearing in 9 games for the Rivermen scoring 3 goals.
The defense of the Cup begins on October 17th versus the Danville Dashers at Hara Arena, gates open at 6:35pm, puck drops at 7:35pm.
