Four first-inning runs helped the North Shore Navigators (26-29) to a 6-1 win over the Pittsfield Suns (26-27) on Friday.
The North Shore Navigators scored in the first on an RBI double by Cameron Hanley, a two-run double by Sean ONeill, and a sacrifice fly by Justin Peluso.
Hanley put himself in scoring position with three extra-base hits for the North Shore Navigators.
The Pittsfield Suns couldn't get anything going so long as Mike Weisman was on the hill. The Pittsfield Suns managed just one hit off of Weisman, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 2 1/3 innings of work.
Dave Egeland couldn't get it done on the bump for the Pittsfield Suns, taking a loss. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
