Bell helps the Pittsfield Suns down the Worcester Bravehearts 9-7

Tyler Bell went 2-4, sparking the Pittsfield Suns (26-25) to a 9-7 victory over the Worcester Bravehearts (31-22) on Thursday at Wahconah Park.

He singled in the first inning and tripled in the third inning.

Nate Spielvogel pitched lights out for the Pittsfield Suns. Spielvogel held the Worcester Bravehearts hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Mark DeYoung racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Worcester Bravehearts. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the fifth inning.

Tyler Lamonda got the win for the Pittsfield Suns. He allowed three runs over three innings. Lamonda struck out two, walked three and gave up three hits.

Joe Saia (0-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked three and struck out one.
