Sunday was a great day for Brendan Skidmore, as he clubbed two home runs to carry the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (25-26) to a 7-5 victory over the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide (19-31) at Doyle Field.

Tom Mahoney handled the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide's lineup with ease, racking up seven strikeouts. Mahoney allowed three earned runs, four hits and no walks over six innings.

Despite the loss, the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide's Evan Brisentine dominated the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs' batters, giving up three runs and striking out eight.

Mekae Hyde racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide. He homered in the first inning and singled in the third and eighth innings.

Matthew Ferraiolo improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs. He allowed two runs over two innings. Ferraiolo struck out none, walked none and gave up two hits.

Will Ore (1-3) took the loss for the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed four runs.

The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs were sparked by Skidmore and Austin Botts, who teamed up for three hits and six RBIs.
