A superb effort by Nick Fuller led the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (23-21) to a 7-1 win over the Worcester Bravehearts (26-19) on Tuesday at Vineyard Baseball Park.

The Worcester Bravehearts had no answer for Fuller, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Fuller gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out seven during his eight innings of work.

The Marthas Vineyard Sharks blew out the Worcester Bravehearts thanks to 14 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Marthas Vineyard Sharks scored three runs in the seventh on the Marthas Vineyard Sharks scored in the seventh on an RBI single by Kevin Foley and a two-run single by Foley.

Luke Bonfield racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. He doubled in the first and third innings and singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

Charlie Butler couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Worcester Bravehearts, taking a loss. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
