A great effort by Mike Lundin carried the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (26-28) to an 11-1 win in seven innings over the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (29-23) on Friday at Doyle Field.

Lundin got the win for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs thanks to 14 strikeouts. Lundin allowed one earned run, one hit and no walks over seven innings.

The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs' bats came to life in the third inning. In the inning the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs scored six runs. The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs scored in the third on a hit by pitch, a hit by pitch, , a double by Sam Goodwin-Boyd, a sacrifice fly by Michael Rizzitello, and a solo home run by Brendan Skidmore.

Skidmore racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs.

The Marthas Vineyard Sharks were led by Will Toffey's hitting. Toffey went 1-2, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second inning.

Cooper Bailey was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked three and struck out three.
