It took 10 innings, but the Seacoast Mavericks (19-18) managed to put away the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (19-18) 10-7 on Friday at Leary Field.

With the score tied at seven in the tenth inning, Dalton Davis came to the plate and homered.

Ryan Gendron racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Seacoast Mavericks. He homered in the third inning and singled in the first and sixth innings.

James Vernon's eight strikeouts were enough to push the Seacoast Mavericks past the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. The Seacoast Mavericks' pitcher tossed three innings of shutout ball and allowed only two hits.

Patrick Nicholson couldn't get it done on the bump for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
