A magnificent effort by Jon Mayer carried the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (17-15) to a 7-1 win over the Worcester Bravehearts (19-10) on Thursday at Fitton Field.
Mayer blasted two home runs for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. Mayer went 2-4 in the game with three RBIs and two runs scored. Mayer homered in the seventh and ninth innings.
