Dayton, Ohio - The reigning Federal Hockey League Commissioner’s Cup Champions, Dayton Demonz, are proud to announce they have come to terms with forward Jared Hicks and goaltender Matthew Kinsella.

Jared Hicks was drafted during the 2013 Federal Hockey League College and Juniors’ draft and made an immediate impact in his first game solidifying a roster spot.  Hicks played in 35 regular season games scoring 7 goals and 24 assists, and in 8 playoff games he tallied 3 goals and 7 more assists.  After suffering a severe collapsed lung, he returned to the ice stronger and was key in the Demonz historic championship run.

“Hicksy was a go to guy for me, he filled multiple roles when I needed him to and he led the playoffs in plus minus which was huge,” Coach Trevor Karasiewicz said.  “I look forward to him having a stronger second season and continuing to play hard for the Demonz and our fans.”

Along with signing Hicks, the Demonz have signed goaltender Matthew Kinsella.  “He was part of the best one two combo in the league.  He came in day in and day out and stood on his head in net,” said Coach Karasiewicz.  “I expect Kinser to come in and continue his success in Dayton as one of the best goalies in the league.”

Kinsella played in 27 regular season games posting a record on 18 wins, 7 losses and an impressive .897 save percentage.  He played in 2 playoff games with a 1 win, 1 loss and a .944 save percentage.
