EVANSTON, Ill. -- Postseason lacrosse is coming to Evanston this week when Northwestern University serves as host for the 2014 American Lacrosse Conference, May 1-4, at NU's Lakeside Field. Of the seven squads to vie for the ALC Tournament crown, five of them -- Northwestern, Florida, Penn State, Johns Hopkins and Ohio State -- ranked in the top 10 nationally in the most recent IWLCA Division I polls.

The addition of a seventh team in the ALC fold this year has resulted in a revised format from each of the previous seven ALC Tournaments, with the No. 1 seed (Florida) earning a first-round bye while the remaining six teams do battle in a triple-header on Thursday. Below is the complete schedule of action coming to Lakeside Field (all times Central):

Thursday, May 1 -- First Round
Game 1 (2:30 p.m.): #4 Penn State vs. #5 Johns Hopkins
Game 2 (4:30 p.m.): #3 Northwestern vs. #6 Vanderbilt
Game 3 (7 p.m.): #2 Ohio State vs. #7 Michigan

Friday, May 2 -- Semifinals
Game 4 (4:30 p.m.): #1 Florida vs. Winner of Game 1
Game 5 (7 p.m.): Winner of Game 2 vs. Winner of Game 3

Sunday, May 4 -- Championship
Game 6 (11 a.m.): Winner of Game 4 vs. Winner of Game 5 

Tickets will be sold as day passes each day of the event at a cost of $8 for adults and $5 for youth, students and senior citizens. All six games also will stream live on the Big Ten Digital Network, a subscription streaming video service that can be purchased at the monthly rate of $14.95.
