The Detroit Fighting Irish Junior Hockey Club announced today the schedule for their Spring and Summer Open Skates.

The announcement was made today by Irish General Manager Dan Vasquez.  We are inviting any player of Junior Eligibility and the parents of those players out to skate with our team, these skates are not a tryout session but are a chance for our staff and veterans as well as former players of our organization to let Junior Players learn a little bit about our organization and to understand that even though we have a rich history of success in the wins and loss columns are real success is in helping our players developing success for their futures off the ice.  We know our organization is not for every player but we also know that a lot of players and parent’s simply do not have enough information on how to put themselves in a position to take advantage of the opportunities that or availability to them.  We believe that every player whom has the will and is willing to put in the time has an opportunity to become a student athlete at the collegiate level stated Vasquez.  Our organization takes great pride of assembling a staff that is not only made up of top hockey people but we also have the experience as parents, players and coach’s whom have all faced these same decisions in our past.  We believe it is our commitment to pass on this information.

The Detroit Fighting Irish Open Skates will begin on Wednesday April 23rd   at the Ice Box Sports Center in Brownstown, Michigan and will continue every Wednesday through April, May , June and July.  Plans are also underway for several open tryout camps tentatively schedule in Late May and Mid August. Each session is 90 minutes cost is $15.00 per player for each skate
