The Almonte Thunder had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-0 win over the Arnprior Packers.
With the win, Almonte Thunder evened the series at 2-2 in the best of seven showdown.
Riley Shore had two goals and one assist to lead Almonte Thunder. Shore scored the first of his two goals at 6:42 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Almonte Thunder. Tyler McKechnie assisted on the tally. Shore's next tally made the score 4-0 Almonte Thunder with 9:04 left in the third period. McKechnie picked up the assist.
Almonte Thunder excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.
Almonte Thunder also got points from Nick Villeneuve, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Justin Marquis, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Almonte Thunder also got a goal from Luke Martin as well. More assists for Almonte Thunder came via Haydon Devlin, Cameron Cornwall, Terry Mallon, Conor Rolland, and Jordan Bosely, who each chipped in one.
Alex Daley recorded 23 saves for Almonte Thunder while Erik Miksik made 22 saves for Arnprior Packers on 27 shots.
Game 5 goes Saturday night in Almonte at 7:30pm.
