2017 PACKERS TRAINING CAMP

The Arnprior Packers are pleased to announce that Tony Iob has come on as the teams new Head Coach.
The 45 -year old Renfrew, ON native brings a wealth of knowledge to the table as both a player and coach and will be looked at to bring structure and discipline to the Packers organization moving forward.
Iob played 4 seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with both the Kingston Frontenacs and Sault Ste.Marie Greyhounds where he skated in back-to-back Memorial Cup tournaments before turning pro. As a professional Tony would spend the majority of his time overseas playing in Italy and Austria where he was high-scoring winger for many years. He represented Italy in 4 World Championships as well as the Olympic Games in 2006. He would retire from professional hockey in 2009.
Following his playing career, he would take over coaching duties for his hometown Renfrew Timberowolves, helping them capture Division Titles in 2011 and 2013. He would become Assistant Coacg for the University of Ottawa for the 2013-14 season before becoming Head Coach of the CCHL's Kanata Lasers halfway through the 2014-15 season.
