Cook's big game bests HC Val Pusteria Lupi in 6-2 Rittner Buam win

Rittner Buam's Brendan Cook had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 6-2 win over HC Val Pusteria Lupi.

Cook scored at 18:13 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and again while 2:41 into the second to make the score 3-1 Rittner Buam.

After the loss made the series score 3-1 in the best of seven series, HC Val Pusteria Lupi faces elimination next time out.

Rittner Buam pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 14 penalty minutes.

Rittner Buam excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances.

Rittner Buam additionally got points from Julian Kostner, who also had one goal and one assist, Dan Tudin, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Mark Van Guilder, who also registered one goal and two assists. Emanuel Scelfo also scored for Rittner Buam. In addition, Rittner Buam received assists from Christian Borgatello, who had four and Markus Spinell, Luca Ansoldi, and Thomas Spinell, who each chipped in one.

Penalties took their toll on HC Val Pusteria Lupi, as its penalty kill unit let in three power play goals.

HC Val Pusteria Lupi was helped by Max Oberrauch, who racked up one goal. Oberrauch scored 8:02 into the first period to make the score 1-0 HC Val Pusteria Lupi. Kevin DeVergilio picked up the assist. HC Val Pusteria Lupi also got a goal from Ryan Kavanagh as well. More assists for HC Val Pusteria Lupi came via Armin Hofer and Giulio Scandella, who contributed one each.
