Ritten Sport Renault Trucks hangs on, beats Fiat Professional Val Pusteria 4-2

Travis Ramsey scored the go-ahead goal in the first period, and Ritten Sport Renault Trucks held off the challenges of the Fiat Professional Val Pusteria Lupi in a tough 4-2 win.

A goal 5:29 into the first period by Ramsey proved to be the game winner, and powered Ritten Sport Renault Trucks to the victory. Eric Johansson picked up the assist.

Matt Siddall was all over the ice for Ritten Sport Renault Trucks, as he had two goals in the win. Siddall scored at 15:51 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Ritten Sport Renault Trucks and again while 9:51 into the third to make the score 4-2 Ritten Sport Renault Trucks.

Patrick Rissmiller also scored for Ritten Sport Renault Trucks. In addition, Ritten Sport Renault Trucks received assists from Gabe Guentzel, Daniel Tudin, Luca Ansoldi, and Levi Nelson, who each chipped in one.

Fiat Professional Val Pusteria was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 16 penalty minutes.

The Lupi were led by Darcy Campbell, who finished with one goal and one assist. Campbell scored 18:07 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Ritten Sport Renault Trucks. Christian Borgatello provided the assist. Fiat Professional Val Pusteria also got a goal from Max Oberrauch as well. More assists for Fiat Professional Val Pusteria came via David Ling, who had two.

Chris Mason recorded 38 saves for Ritten Sport Renault Trucks. Ritten Sport Renault Trucks incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Jean Sebastien Aubin made 35 saves for Fiat Professional Val Pusteria on 39 shots. The Lupi registered one goal on five power play opportunities.
