HC Eppan Appiano Sarah's Waldner deadly on offense in 3-1 win against SV Kaltern Caldaro RothoblaasRaiffeisen Arena Fri, Oct 19, 2012 Jan Waldner was all over the ice for the HC Eppan Appiano Sarah Pirates, as he tallied two goals in HC Eppan Appiano Sarah's 3-1 win over the SV Kaltern Caldaro Rothoblaas Hechte-Lucci. Waldner found the back of the net 29 seconds into the third period to make the score 2-1 HC Eppan Appiano Sarah and again while 19:51 into the third to make the score 3-1 HC Eppan Appiano Sarah.The Pirates were led by goalie Mark Demetz, who finished with 28 saves while allowing one goal. Demetz managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.01 prior to the game. HC Eppan Appiano Sarah pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 14 penalty minutes. The Pirates put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow SV Kaltern Caldaro Rothoblaas to score on any of its seven power plays. HC Eppan Appiano Sarah also got a goal from Fabian Ebner as well. In addition, HC Eppan Appiano Sarah received assists from Patrick Wallenberg, who had three and Jake Newton, David Ceresa, and Daniel Peruzzo, who each chipped in one. The Hechte-Lucci's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three HC Eppan Appiano Sarah power plays. SV Kaltern Caldaro Rothoblaas could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Hechte-Lucci put an average of 3.1 pucks into the net per game. SV Kaltern Caldaro Rothoblaas was led by Alex Andergassen, who scored the team's only goal. Andergassen scored 16:40 into the first period to make the score 1-0 SV Kaltern Caldaro Rothoblaas. Matias Loppi assisted on the tally. The Hechte-Lucci's Martino Valle Da Rin stopped 31 shots out of the 33 that he faced. SV Kaltern Caldaro Rothoblaas incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
