Huge game by Kostner boosts HC Gherdeina over AS Hockey Pergine Solarplus, 6-3

The HC Gherdeina Furie's Benjamin Kostner had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in his team's 6-3 win over AS Hockey Pergine Solarplus.

Kostner beat Thomas Commisso with a shot 12:57 into the third period to make the score 4-2 HC Gherdeina. Gabriel Vinatzer picked up the assist. Kostner dished an assist on Ryan Gaucher's goal that made the score 2-1 AS Hockey Pergine Solarplus at 8:04 into the second period. He added another helper on Vinatzer's goal that made the score 6-3 HC Gherdeina at 19:44 into the third period.

AS Hockey Pergine Solarplus' power play was ineffective against HC Gherdeina's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

The Furie were often in penalty trouble, totaling nine minors and one major for 53 minutes in penalty time. HC Gherdeina had been averaging 27.0 minutes in penalties per game.

HC Gherdeina additionally got points from Gaucher, who also had one goal and one assist, Niklas Anger, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Vinatzer, who also registered two goals and one assist.
